David Wolf is a dedicated first-degree black belt jiu-jitsu instructor, sharing his passion for martial arts at our academy. He teaches our children and adult classes imparting the art’s principles and nurturing the growth of his students.
David’s received his black belt in 2022 from his mentor and head coach Sean Spangler. This achievement marked the culmination of seven years of dedicated training in Apex, North Carolina, under Sean’s tutelage.
David’s journey in jiu-jitsu started in 2009 while assistant coaching High School Wrestling in Tampa. He was introduced to the sport by another coach and trained diligently with Ryan Deichert, eventually achieving his blue belt.
David’s foundation in grappling started during his formative years, as he was a tenacious wrestler throughout middle and high school in his native Florida. His remarkable success in wrestling not only honed his physical skills but also propelled him to state-level competitions, where he showcased his talent and determination.
Beyond the mats, David views jiu-jitsu as a potent metaphor and a training ground for life’s challenges, instilling resilience and problem-solving skills in every practitioner.
